In March 2009 two brand new compositions for orchestra and choir had their premiere at the ‘Stemmingen' Festival in Houten. The first one is a Dutch poem called 'Stil' that Sarif put to music, the second work is a song from the musical 'The Devil’s Advocate' called 'Lust'. The festival was organised by the Promusic Foundation.

Promusic Festival

On October the first the Hubertus-tunnel had it's official opening for the Dutch government. In collaboration with director David Prins, Sarif worked towards the opening of this new tunnel in The Hague. He acd Gluck's Orphée et Eurydice the second act for choir, strings, fanfare orchestra 'KvhV' and Antillean brassband 'The Legendairs'. The performance also featured Golden Earring drummer Cesar Zuiderwijk and opera singer Ina Boonen.

Sarif is currently composing and recording commercial radio jingles for a Belgium company called Brandy.
Sarif is also working on arrangements of famous pop compositions in collaboration with Dutch Music Partners and publisher Charles van  Zanten.
Serena's song is a large musical number that Sarif composed in collaboration with American writer/actor David Gallic for his new written play 'Off Book'. It had its premiere January 2008 in Portland, USA.
At the moment, Sarif is playing percussion in the disney musical Mary Poppins en Abba´s Mamma Mia.
